The real difference: memorizing cards vs building understanding
Knowt is excellent at one job: turning your notes, PDFs and lectures into flashcards and summaries, in unlimited quantity, for free. That makes it a strong Quizlet replacement for memorization-heavy subjects, and its 4.7/5 App Store rating reflects it. What Knowt does not document anywhere is guided homework help: its only guided mode, Call with Kai, quizzes you by voice on cards you already have.
Graduo starts one step earlier, at the moment you do not understand the lesson yet. The tutor asks guiding questions until the reasoning is yours, then the app turns that same course into a structured path: short lessons, quizzes, flashcards with spaced repetition and 6 mini-games. Knowt gives you infinite cards in English; Graduo gives you a guided route in 7 languages. Those are different products that happen to share the word "flashcards".

AI features on the free plan have limits that reset monthly, and Knowt does not publish those quotas. Graduo publishes its free quotas exactly: 3 study paths per month, 20 quizzes per day, 50 flashcards, 2 mini-games.
Which one is cheaper?
Knowt Ultra costs $24.99 per month or $149.99 per year on their plans page (11 July 2026; their help center still shows older prices). Graduo Pro costs 17.99 euros per month or 59.99 euros per year on the French App Store. On yearly plans the gap is large: Graduo costs less than half of Knowt Ultra.
