Our method, and its limits

Graduo uses AI to generate study material from a student's own courses. This page explains how that works, where the AI can be wrong, and how we keep the content useful — including what we do not claim.

How study content is generated

When a student sends a course — a PDF, a photo, a YouTube video or text — Graduo uses AI providers, including Google Gemini, to turn it into a structured study path: short lessons, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps and mini-games, matched to the student's grade level.

The content is generated from the student's own material, not pulled from a generic library. That is deliberate: revision works best when it is about the exact lesson you have to learn.

How the tutor checks math

In the Lab, when a student works through a math problem, the tutor checks each calculation step rather than just the final answer. When it detects an error, it points out where the reasoning went wrong and asks a question to get the student back on track — it does not simply print the correct result.

We do not publish an accuracy percentage for this. A single figure would be easy to quote and hard to defend across every subject and level, so we describe what the feature does instead of attaching a number to it.

The limits of the AI

AI can be wrong. Graduo is a study aid, not an authority: important information should always be verified, and the app says so where it matters. The tutor is designed to guide reasoning, not to be an infallible source of facts.

This is also why the product refuses to hand out answers. A tool that guides you to check your own work is safer, pedagogically, than one that gives a confident answer that might be incorrect.

How to report an error

If the AI gives an incorrect or inappropriate answer, you can report it from within the app or by email, ideally with a screenshot. Reports feed directly into improving prompts and safeguards.

We take content quality seriously because the audience is students and minors. Flagging a mistake genuinely helps make the app better for everyone.
